Why Mondays Are Made for Patience

Hey, Traders,

Mondays used to be the hardest day of the week for me.

I’d come in hyped, ready to crush, thinking I needed to make a big trade right off the open.

I felt like I had to prove something, so I’d size up too early or chase trades I had no business touching.

And guess what?

I ended up in the red — a lot.

This image was created using artificial intelligence.

Over time, I learned that this game isn’t about starting fast but staying consistent

Now when Monday rolls around, I’m calm.

I’m not trying to force trades or make my week on day one.

Instead, I’m focused on my process, which means scanning, watching key levels, and letting the setups come to me

If I don’t see anything I love, I sit still.

Sometimes the best trade is no trade because the goal isn’t to be busy, it’s to be smart.

And honestly, it took me way too long to figure that out.

But once I did, my results followed.

Check this out.

Just Say No to Hype

It’s easy to feel like you’re behind if someone else is already posting wins on Twitter.

I used to get that FOMO bad.

I’d see other traders making money, and I’d feel like I had to jump in, even if the setup wasn’t right

But that’s just ego, and ego will drain your account faster than anything.

What helps me now is reminding myself: It’s a long week. One trade doesn’t define my success.

I don’t need to trade every ticker that’s moving; I just need to focus on what I’m good at — and wait for the right setup to show itself.

Monday should be about warming up, getting in tune with the market, and spotting what’s in play.

I don’t need to fire off trades just to feel productive.

Some of my best Mondays are the ones where I take one small base hit — or don’t trade at all — and walk away confident because I stuck to my rules.

This week, I’m reminding myself (and you) that trading is a marathon.

The wins stack up over time, not usually in one big morning push.

So, slow it down and stick to your edge, and remember: process over profits.

That’s how you build a real career in this game.

Let’s get it,

Jack
