Aw, Snap: I Got Greedy and It Cost Me
Hey, Traders, I want to be real with you guys about what happened with one of my trades last week.
Hey traders — Jack here.
I didn’t grow up with money, connections, or a head start.
Instead, I had a desire for freedom, an obsession with learning, and a belief that I could build a different kind of life if I were willing to work harder than everyone around me.
That belief helped me generate over $25 million in verified trading profits.
But the number isn’t my story.
My story is the mindset, the sacrifices, and the lessons that got me here.
School was never for me.
I was good at math, but sitting in classrooms and following the typical “go to college, get a job, retire at 65” roadmap felt like the exact opposite of what I wanted for my life.
The only book I ever read cover to cover was Rich Dad, Poor Dad.
It changed my life.
It broke my limited beliefs about money. Wealth wasn’t about luck or birthright but about mindset, discipline, and taking control of your own future.
I didn’t want a boss.
I wanted independence, and I was willing to earn it.
I opened a brokerage account at 19, making every mistake a new trader can make.
Chasing trades, risking too much, and letting my emotions control my decisions.
Of course, I blew up my account. But I rebuilt, repeating that cycle more times than I’d like to admit.
After a few bruises, I realized something that changed my trajectory forever:
I needed simplicity and discipline, not complexity and action.
I discovered that a handful of indicators kept my trading clear and clutter-free. A simple combination of price, volume, and trend gives you almost everything you need.
By the end of 2020, I had quietly crossed $1.7 million in trading profits. To most people watching from the outside, it looked like I had “made it.” But for me, it felt like the real beginning.
I had:
I was trading my system. And then the market lit on fire.
Over the following eight months, I booked $6 million in trading profits. I had multiple six-figure trades and even made $1.3 million in one week at the peak of the momentum.
That simplicity and discipline has helped me build over $ 25 million in profits.
Today, money no drives me. I want to help others break free from limiting beliefs, just as I did years ago while parking cars and dreaming of something bigger.
If you’re willing to put in the work, I’m here to guide you because you’re a lot closer to trading success than you think.
Trading is more about the person you see in the mirror every morning than the market.
It’s up to you who you see.
To your success,
Jack Kellogg
